Re: Importing analog and fm patches

Great work jemap!
Can you share the analog/FM file structure? Do you know if the structure used in the AllianceHD project is correct?
Thank you,

Re: How to load songs from 8HD into 6HD

One way is to copy the whole Fusion 8HD hard drive on a PC (8HD backup). When you receive the 6HD, erase its hardrive (after you do a 6HD backup) and copy the 8HD backup to the 6HD.

Re: Alliance HD project - help required!!

Thanks! I have downloaded NetBeans 6.8 and checked out svn repository version 17. I was able to build and run also (got the blah message).

This Alliance HD project is too hot! It may need a separate forum topic.

Re: Alliance HD project - help required!!

Hi JaM,

I have downloaded the alliancehd files, and I see some .XML files which seem to define the java files and the compiling options for the project(like a makefile).
What programs or commands are you using for building the project, using these .XML files.

Great work, by the way!

Thank you,

It looks more like a volume potentiometer issue.

Proteus X2, Xmidi 2x2 and 3G of sounds

I see that Creative Labs sells this package for $49.99 including shipping (http://us.store.creative.com/Proteus-X2/M/B000GZY7O4.htm) This looks to me darn cheap. The main complains that I see are: - XP Only (can live with) - Proteus X2 does not work without the Xmidi attached (don't really care) - X...

Re: Reverse engineering of AFP files

In fact both tasks: converting DX7 settings to Fusion settings and AFP reverse engineering have their merits and they can be worked out in parallel. As for the first task, we know how to convert the pitch ratio, but I am not sure on how to set the Fusion modulation tables to emulate the DX7 envelope...

Re: Reverse engineering of AFP files

There are few thing which can help: There is a DX7 (maybe SY77) VSTi demo, Speedsoft VX7 beta4, which can load DX7 sysex files, show the program settings details and let you hear the DX7 sound (I don't have a DX7 to say how accurate it is). It also my come with some syx files. The syx file format de...

Re: Reverse engineering of AFP files

It is an interesting proposal, but I am wondering if there are any legal implications, like this project being interpreted as a way to circumvent the encription of a copyrighted material. On the other hand Alesis shoud have provided means for authoring afp files on a computer. They have provided thi...

Re: Fusion/Logic 8 issues

You may copy the MIDI file on the Fusion through USB and import it into a song (song/utility/import MIDI, I think). Then, you may need to set the appropriate program for each track, which can be tricky, as you'll need to remove any existing program change events from the MIDI tracks. This can be don...
