Re: Resolving Velocity Issues

Hmm . . . .

never seen PINK ones before . . . .

I guess my 8HD has the TP20 then . . . . . ?

I have a 6HD too, but that is different - and plays very nicely - best synth-action I've played

Re: Replace the internal Hard Disk with a CF Card?

Jesse are you still able to see this pdf you attached? I can see the link and download it but it is blank. I have a feeling that many if not all files uploaded before the site move may have become corrupted and so are no longer visible. Same here Saul. I viewed it on the site AND downloaded it and ...

Re: Replace the internal Hard Disk with a CF Card?

Hey Ted - that is great news . . . . It's always good to know about alternatives where the Fusion is concerned . . . So the adaptor and CF Card are tucked away inside - where the HDD was? That is tidy. I'll bet it runs quieter AND cooler now? Is the startup time similar to HDD? I found that my SSDs ...

Re: Quadrasynth

Hmm . . . .

never realised it was a 76-note. €190 is a bargain I would say.

I'd love to try an A6 Andromeda . . . That ribbon controller is just asking to be "stroked" . . . . .

They don't appear very often though - and the prices tend to be eye-watering . . . . .

Re: Hello from the UK

THAT looks like a nice Clean Poymoog :D As far as A:B comparisons go - I would say NOBODY is in a better position to confirm that Alesis did a good job with those sounds . . . . Actually - IIRC - Joeri Peeters did the original sampling, together with the late Steve Howell of HollowSun and additional...

Re: Hello from the UK

Hi Kit - and welcome indeed . . . . Like you, I also have both Fusions. I acquired the 6HD more recently . . . cost me £300 and only had ONE problem with a non working key. I opened her up to max out the RAM and do the SSD upgrade, and the problem was due to a contact strip not fully bedded down. I ...

Re: Cannot Upgrade Fusion OS At ALL!!!!

Are you sure the OS update was successful? Try it again as follows: Unzip the OS image file on your computer and copy it to your CF card that you previously formatted using the Fusion. With the Fusion turned off insert the CF card containing the unzipped OS file Fusion_Image_v124.bin (about 62.5 mb ...

Re: Good Health to All

Jan and I are OK here, so far, but I'm hating this "incarceration" - It's not "Me" . . . .

Social Media Isn't - and never was - a replacement. I miss visiting my friends. :(

Re: That's F...ing Incredible!

TOTALLY Agree Jesse . . . . The Music Lab Machines are extraordinary - but very SciFi . . . . . http://www.hollowsun.com/HS2/sli/index.htm I've not gone there yet, but at £8 for many of them - it's difficult to resist . . . . . I KNOW Steve was the Tallant and Driving Force behind HS, but I wonder i...

Re: Drum track levels

It seems to work well enough with VIP, though at the outset it wasn't good with Reaper . . . . which I use - so I kind of lost interest. The problem of many of these "Systems" is that they want to be the Center of your Universe . . . . The Reaper implementation was little more than a badge in a Menu...

Re: That's F...ing Incredible!

The Fusion is and was exceptional. The only modern board that come close is the Kronos (IMO) It's sad that it had so many misfortunes after it's release, so much so that Alesis got their Arses kicked financially over it, so they lost interest and pulled the plug, leaving the eSata and CDR unimplemen...

Re: Drum track levels

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing, and not only drums . . . Some programs are quieter than others . . . . If you are wanting to work inside the Fusion only , then the mixer is the only recourse AFAIK to adjust the quietest tracks as loud as possible and then balance the others to taste :( The only o...

Re: That's F...ing Incredible!

Sadly only maybe I think Jesse . . . . For some reason on 7th February, we had 76 join the forum - ALL of which are inactive - and looking at their user names . . . . . . They are inactive 'cos they're Banned :( . . . But they DO swell our "membership"  Am I right in thinking the r...

Amen to that Jesse . . .
