About the clicks - experiment

Post by GuyDenruyter »

Hi,

Several posts have been made on this forum regarding the clicks (I am not referring to the mechanical keybed clicking), I am referring to

https://www.alesismusic.com/viewtopic.p ... ght=clicks this link works on alesismusic.com the others don't

http://www.promusicproducts.com/forum/p ... ght=clicks

and mainly http://www.promusicproducts.com/forum/p ... ght=clicks where also some workarounds are listed.

I never experienced those clicks until yesterday. I had created a new song, and I heard the clicks very clearly. Also, they were very reproduceable: they appeared at exactly the same place. Not every time, but in about 80% of the cases. The clicks also seemed to be generated BEFORE the (bus) FX, since my Delay effect was also affected on the clicks. Lowering the volumes did not help. The CPU usage was far from saturated.

BUT - after I changed the 'Optimized for Polyphony' setting to 'Optimize for Load Time', there were no more clicks!

Could this mean that maybe there is something wrong with the caching/flushing memory..?

Can anyone who has these clicks and pops try this also?

Change it to 'Optimize for Load Time', but I still get them! It's the CPU!

It can't handle it!
