Hanging notes after editing Midi using <clear>

Post by parametric »

Just <cleared> a section of midi and now I have hanging notes on two tracks.

I'm using the Event list editor . . . (OS 1.24 BTW)

Thought about adding the All notes Off at the end of the event list - but -

The Sequencer doesn't allow me to enter CC# 123 (All Notes Off)

Last one allowed is 119 :( Why limit this?

There are a number of cryptically named controllers that I can find NO info on in the "Manual"

General 1
General 2
General 3
General 4

General 1 (f)
General 2 (f)
General 3 (f)
General 4 (f)

Sequencer Implementation chart says that <Reset> is interpreted as All Notes Off - but where's that?

<Reset All Controllers> is CC# 121 - so also Not available

Any ideas would be welcome . . . .

I know the Fusion allows changing patches while a note is sounding, but maybe it is something silly like that!

Perhaps you could export the midi file and examine it in a PC/mac sequencer - hopefully you might spot something.

Just noticed a post from Psionic which may help:- http://www.promusicproducts.com/forum/p ... 818#p25818

Thanks for that guys.

I did try putting a CC #64,0 at the end of one of the tracks - but it didn't seem to do anything . . .

The problem is on two tracks - the Main Synth track and the Bass track.

The sustain pedal being a "switch" has only two values? Right?

CC #64, 0 = UP (Damped), CC #64, 127 = DOWN (Sustained) . . . . am I correct?

As Psionic says - operating the Sustain pedal does kill the hung notes . .

I'm off to Cornwall this morning 'til Monday - so will try again Tuesday or so

thanks for your input
